Bank Run Gravel

Bank Run Gravel is unprocessed gravel. Depending on the source, it can be 4″ minus, meeting NYSDOT Item 203 requirements for Select Fill, or a very coarse, clean, compactable fill with 8″ and larger stones in it. It is usually the least expensive base or compactable fill available.

-2" Screened Gravel

Minus 2″ Screened Gravel is produced by processing Bank Run Gravel through a 2″ screen. The resulting material is a 2″ and minus compactable subbase. This product varies in consistency depending upon the source. The 2″ Screened Gravels we produce at all of our various sources meet NYSDOT 304 Type 4 requirements for soundness and particle size distribution.

-2" Crusher Run Limestone

Minus 2″ Crusher Run Limestone is produced by crushing blasted Limestone and reducing everything to 2 inches and smaller. The resulting material is a highly compactable subbase that is ideal for building and surface treating heavy duty driveways and parking lots. Its gray color is visually distinct. Limestone is not locally produced, so the cost of importing it to our yards makes it a little more costly than gravel products.

-2" Crusher Run Hard Head Gravel

Minus 2″ Crusher Run Hard Head Gravel is made by processing 2″ to 8″ cobbles through a crusher resulting in a 100% crushed subbase that has a range of sized particles from 2 inches down to dust. -2″ Crusher Run Hard Head Gravel is an excellent subbase for roads, driveways, and building pads. It is the least moisture sensitive of any gravel subbases available. This product meets all the physical requirements for NYSDOT Type 2 Subbase excepting that the source rock is gravel cobbles, not limestone.

Minus 2″ Crusher Run Gravel is produced by processing bank run gravel through a crusher and reducing everything to 2 inches and smaller. The resulting compactable material is a blend of natural and crushed product with more coarse aggregate than a typical screened gravel. The angularity of the crushed materials add to the stability of this material. -2″ Crusher Run Gravel is a moderately priced subbase that works well for constructing driveways and parking lots.

-1 Inch Screened Millings (Asphalt)

Minus 1″ Screened Millings are made by processing milled asphalt from road building projects through a 1 inch screen. The resulting 1 inch and smaller product is ideal for constructing, surfacing and repairing driveways and parking lots. When properly applied and compacted it can be very pothole and rut resistant. Crushed #3 & #4 Gravel, AASHTO #1

This very coarse, crushed, gravel with a top size of 4″ is good for building roads over poor or muddy soil conditions. Although the sample pictured is washed, it is often produced by dry screening, which allows for considerable dirt and fines to cling to the finished product.

Crushed #3A Gravel

This clean, crushed, washed gravel is primarily 1-1/2″ with a top size of 2″ and is commonly used as an ingredient in asphalt base courses. This coarse stone works well for constructing a farm or logging road over reasonably stable soils. It is very difficult to shovel this coarse product by hand.
